Dessert Sunset Bowl

This is another bowl that I made in the Spring of ‘26 that could be used as a tea bowl, but probably is too outside tradition to fit well in an actual tea ceremony. It is technically a functional tea bowl, but it’s silhouette, foot, glazing, and particularly height are very non-traditional. Thrown from a high-iron clay body and glazed with a high-titanium matte glaze, the final appearance of the bowl reminds me a bit of a sunset in the high dessert.
