Crawl Shino Chawan

This chawan has been glazed with a variant of our classic shino whose chemistry has been modified to encourage crawling when the glaze is thickly applied. The intensity of the crawl is a bit impractical for tea ceremony, and certainly not traditional for a shino chawan. It in some ways more resembles the glazes on Oni-hagi chawan. Nonetheless, it is a striking result.
